Stellar Stella
is all about confidence! Stella flutters around any social setting with nothing but charisma and grace. “Trust me, no one is thinking that!” Stella says to you through the mirror in the bathroom as you dissect your own appearance. “In fact, most people are far too busy worrying about their own insecurities.” Stella chuckles while pumping a dollop of soap. “I used to think I had control over what people thought of me, but boy, was I wrong! It turns out, others only see a projection of you with their own filter added. No one outside this skin can ever know what it’s like to be me… or you.”. While smiling and gesturing back to the mirror, “I mean, not even these mirrors get it right.”
I created Stella with the intention of boosting my confidence before volunteering to do hair backstage at Milan and Paris fashion week. It was easily one of the most intimidating events I had been a part of, and I wanted to bring my best. Channeling all the confidence and charisma I could muster up, Stella became a bit of an alter ego I could step into. Looking different helped me feel a deeper sense of those qualities! Which in turn, allowed me to free up extra space to listen to the team, models, and myself! I chose the name Stella because of my husband’s Baba, she is one of the most charismatic ladies I know so her charm is a part of this piece too.
